Elephant Dreams Coming True

The Power of Intention

When I was an aspiring Marine Biologist, I would always sign up to work on New Year’s Day at the Dolphin Research Center where I was a volunteer. It was my way of affirming to myself and the world that studying dolphins was important to me and being with them was something special. To me, the best way to spend the first day of the new year was doing something I loved. It was my hope that my intention would carry over into the rest of the year and my dream would come true and I would become a marine biologist. Most college kids plan to be hungover on January 1st. I planned to be making my dream come true.

My Plan Worked

Not many years after I started my New Year’s Day ritual, my dream came true: I was a bonafide marine biologist with my own research site and my own population of wild dolphins to study.

This was my first real-life lesson in setting an intention and taking action to follow it through. It really does work!

Now that I am a professional Animal Intuitive, I have a new intention: to positively change the lives as of many animals as possible. One way I’m doing that is with my goal to help one million people talk to animals. (Imagine what the world would be like if over one million people were communicating directly with animals!) That’s what I’m up to here.

Another way I’m doing that is by traveling to Thailand to work as a volunteer at a really fantastic elephant sanctuary.

Boon Lott’s Elephant Sanctuary

I’m going to spend a week helping to take care of the rescued elephants who get to live out the rest of their lives freely roaming 500 acres of prime real estate in northern Thailand. Many of these elephants have endured literally decades of physical, mental and emotional abuse. But you wouldn’t know it to see them now! I want to support this mission with all I’ve got – my time, my energy, my intuitive abilities and my money (it’s a paid volunteer opportunity and all the money goes to caring for the elephants).

I am pinching myself because I still find it hard to believe that in a little over 6 months, I’ll be in Thailand feeding elephants and going for walks with them – and ahving conversations that I couldn’t have with anyone else in the world!

Sneak a Peek

Here’s a peak at what it’s like at BLES and what I’ll be doing there.

I’ve booked all 6 spots at the Sanctuary for a week in January 2017 and I have a couple spots still open. If the elephants are calling to you, too, please click here to schedule a time to talk to me about the trip.

Now It’s Your Turn

This community is made of animal lovers with great big hearts. I know you are helping human- and animal-kind, too. How are you making the world a better place for animals and people? Please share what you’re up to in the comments below so we can all be inspired.

PS Naamfon started it all!

When I first began the Animal Wisdom Circle, my first guest animal was a 63 year old Asian elephant named Naamfon who was a recent addition to the BLES family. Her wisdom, patience and intelligence blew me away and she continues to inspire me on a daily basis more than 9 months after our first conversation. What a treat to get to visit her home and meet the people who made her dream of freedom come true after she waited for over 60 years!

What an amazing dream come true Cara and what an exciting adventure I bet it will be for you. How amazing will it be for you to get to go there and maybe meet Naamfon in person.

As for me, I love it when I get to use my pet healing and EFT tapping skills to assist animals in local, and not so local, rescue organisations. To see those animals find more peace, heal from trauma with more ease or release their fear or anxiety, so that they can get new homes, is hugely rewarding and so heartwarming for me.
