How do Patience, Faith and Connectedness help us?
As a spiritual messenger, the Asian Elephant tells us to have faith, be patient and know that we are never alone.
These words are all the more powerful considering they come from 63-year old elephant who spent the first 62 years of her life working in the logging industry and giving rides to tourists. She spoke to me from Boon Lott’s Elephant Sanctuary in northern Thailand as my first guest on my Animal Wisdom Circle calls.
It was a powerful conversation and one that has stayed with me and guided my inner world regularly (yep, I’m that doubtful and impatient!) over the last ten months.
Spiritual Guidance from an Asian Elephant
This video is part of the series of videos that share the wisdom of the animals that will be included in my new Animal Wisdom Circle Oracle Card Deck. You might also like to see how Buffalo and Hummingbird answered my 3 questions.
How an Asian Elephant Changed My Business
When I first started the Animal Wisdom Circle, I doubted that anyone would want to be on a call listening to me talk to an animal. And when things were slow to get going with the Animal Wisdom Circle, I was ready to throw in the towel – 2 months after I started, 2 months after that, and so on.
Each time I was reminded of Naamfon’s words and her reminder to have faith and be patient. Even though I felt like the only one who wanted to connect with animals and receive their spiritual guidance, her message of never being alone reminded me that I am connected to others with similar dreams and loves – maybe I just haven’t found them yet!
Naamfon’s message was in my heart and because of her I persisted when I didn’t really feel like it. And I’m so glad I did! I feel like I am doing the work of my heart and my soul in the Animal Wisdom Circle. And each month I have found 1 or 2 more souls with similar connections to animals and a love for them and their guidance. We’ve built an amazing little community that I am beyond grateful for.
Now It’s Your Turn
I hope you enjoy your Animal Wisdom for the Week. I invite you to keep Naamfon the Asian Elephant’s wisdom with you this week as you get busy, face all the challenges that we all have in our lives and see if you can bring a new perspective to your life.
How can you apply Naamfon’s wisdom to your life? When are you patient? When do you have doubts?
I’d love to hear from you! Please share your experience in the comments.
PS – Want to Visit Naamfon’s Home with Me?
Naamfon was rescued from her terrible living conditions by the folks at Boon Lott’s Elephant Sanctuary in northern Thailand. I’m going to spend a week helping to take care of the rescued elephants who get to live out the rest of their lives freely roaming 500 acres of prime Thai real estate. Many of these elephants have endured literally decades of physical, mental and emotional abuse. But you wouldn’t know it to see them now! I want to support this mission with all I’ve got – my time, my energy, my intuitive abilities and my money (it’s a paid volunteer opportunity and all the money goes to caring for the elephants).
I am pinching myself! I still find it hard to believe that in a little over 6 months, I’ll be in Thailand feeding elephants and going for walks with them – and having conversations that I couldn’t have with anyone else in the world! What a treat to get to visit Naamfon’s home and meet the people who made her dream of freedom come true after she waited for over 60 years!
I’ve booked all 6 spots at the Sanctuary for a week in January 2017 and I have only 1 spot still open. If the elephants are calling to you, too, please click here to schedule a time to talk to me about the trip.
